The Ukrainian painter Kazimir Severinovich Malevich regarded the world as non-representational, negated the existence of a reality and developed his own abstract art style based on these thoughts: suprematism. This reduced painting to basic geometric forms and used only the ‘colours’ black and white – as in his most famous work ‘Black Square’. Malevich’s paintings unfold their purist effect particularly well as aluminium prints.
