Robert Farkas is an illustrator based out of Budapest, Hungary. He is known for his unique style that blends watercolors and digital techniques. Drawing much inspiration from the mystery and beauty of wild animals, many of Robert’s works portray animals such as lions, tigers, foxes, and wolves (the word “wolf” being Hungarian for “farkas”, by the way). Robert’s creation technique begins with hand-drawn illustrations brought to life with watercolors. Then, in Photoshop, Robert manipulates the works and adds the final touches. Coming from a family of creative talent, beginning with his grandfather, famous film director Tamas Fejer, and his mother, a photographer, Robert was encouraged throughout his childhood to exploit his talent for painting and drawing. After many years as a web designer, then an art director, and lastly an animator, Robert’s talent for both illustrative and motion design led him to his current career as a freelance artist who offers his abundant talents in these fields.
