Maja Modén is an illustrator born in the Swedish mountains in the north, but now located in Stockholm. She has worked as an illustrator for over 20 years after receiving a masters at the Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design. Her style is characterised by the use of bold graphic shapes and elegant lines combined with a great sense of colour. Her works are contemporary but with a retro twist. She takes her inspiration from 1960s posters, vintage cookbooks and hanging out in nature.
